This is a superb pressing of the classic Beatles album. An extremely rare Parlophone Pressing, with incredible vinyl and great cover. 

UNBELIEVABLY RARE PRESS IN STEREO, WITH THE 'GOTTA' MISPRINT ON THE COVER, AND COMES WITH THE EARLY MATRIX AND EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS and NO RESALE STATEMENT! AND TO TOP ALL THAT, THIS VIVNLY IS IN NEAR MINT QUALITY WITH TOP NEAR MINT AUDIO! SUPERB!

The Beatles second official L.P. release. Two weeks BEFORE release, "With The Beatles" had advance orders of 270,000, and before the first week of release was out, the half-a-million figure had been beaten. They were actually awarded a Silver disc (for sales of 250,000) on November 18th 1963, 4 days BEFORE release ! By mid January 1964 885,000 had been sold in the U.K. and by the end of 1964, the total was 980,000.

The ONE MILLION mark arrived by September 1965, making this album the FIRST EVER British album to sell 1,000,000 copies in the U.K. The American version of this album, Meet The Beatles bizarrely left off five of the tracks, but sold over 5 million copies. This makes combined sales for The Beatles second album of over 6.5 million.

Chartwise, this L.P. replaced "Please Please Me" at the number one slot, and remained there for 21 weeks. This gave The Beatles a continuous run of 51 weeks at the summit !_Also, in these early days of the British charts, ALL product was listed together regardless of format, and therefore this L.P. even made it into the U.K. singles chart, reaching number 11, which was a record placing for an album.

The cover was a very artful half-shadow black-and-white shot of The Beatles taken by Robert Freeman.

ALBUM PLAYED FOR GRADING: Yes – Fantastic! - NEAR MINT to MINT sound quality throughout.

This great record plays up to the visual and audio grading and beyond, with NEAR MINT sound. The best sounding vinyls are simply rare pieces, and every vinyl must be graded on its own merit, as even first pressings can often have lesser sound quality too.

This rare press has unbelievable "Vault" audio quality. Every hand clap, every breath is crystal clear. It is so loud and bright it sounds like a loud cut. The harmonies are incredible, and on tracks like 'All my Loving', the vocal separation is just amazing. Every instrument is clear, and the audio layering is just astounding. You can also hear sounds in this press that normally go unnoticed or are obliterated by very slight (imperceptible) surface wear. On 'I Wanna Be Your Man', for example, there is a clear echo on Mccartney's vocal, that is normally lost. This really sounds like a different mix all together. There is certainly NO distortion, no loud clicks or pops, in fact I heard none . Just super clear, 'in the studio' sound.

Even the rockous 'Money', which usually has a slight blurry quality due to the original mixing, is crystal clear. The vocal layering just just out, particularity on tracks like 'You Really Got a Hold of Me', and again the separation on 'All I gotta Do' is just outstanding. There is of course very slight static between some tracks, but any surface sound is as minimal as it can be. On 'Till there was you', a real test on With the Beatles, Mccartney's vocals are usually slightly blurry, but not here. Crystal clear and sharp. If you really love the Beatles and collect original vinyl with Vault audio then I would have to say that you will be delighted by this press. 

With The Beatles is a complex and varied collection of music, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like ' Hold Me Tight .' This pressing has strong undistorted audio, with Super clear sound. There is certainly no dominant  interference, and NO loud pops or clicks or Distortion. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

Superb sound, every track has been tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes. Some light occasional static only, and it is light and very occasional. Wonderful TOP audio, there is certainly NO distortion, NO sticks or jumps what so ever, and virtual silence between the tracks.

This vinyl is an absolute gem! It must be the clearest copy of ‘ With the Beatles' I've heard.  ' Little Child ' sings out with silence in the run ins and quiet areas. Great music with great clarity, and so hard to find with this type of sound. I will give a detailed account below.

Great music with great clarity, and so hard to find with this type of sound. The music jumps out, with definition, power and clarity, giving an incredibly live rockous sound. A great Stereo 1st press experience. The bass guitar and drums are so true, whilst the guitars come through crisp and clear. The bassy quality and bright sound make this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

Starting with 'It Wont be Long', there are near silent run ins, followed by really loud great audio. No pops clicks or distortion, and near silence between the tracks. Incredibly powerful and loud sound. No noticeable static just a couple of random, and very light static tics. As 1st quiet track on the album, 'All I got to Do', again the sound is superb. Mccartney's vocals are really loud and Clear. 'All My Loving' again plays with superb audio, bright and powerful. There are certainly no obvious issue like loud pops or clicks, just superb clear audio. 'Dont Bother Me' again plays with super clear sound followed by 'Little Child' which also plays superbly. I heard one ultra light pop in the middle of Dont Bother Me but I am absolutely sure most people would not even notice this. One of the really difficult tacks on the album, audio wise, 'Till There Was You', again sounds super clear, with none of the blurring that this track is so prone to. Amazing clear sound and no pops or clicks or interference at all, which is extremely unusually for this track. Finishing side 1, 'Mr Post Man' continuous the extremely high standard, with no loud pops or clicks, and not even a hint of distortion. Just bright clear rockous sound.

Side 2. Continuing the rockous sound with 'Roll Over Beethoven', it plays again with super bright audio, ad near silent run ins. Un believable. It really takes you back to the Beatles early rock n roll origins, and plays with no pops clicks, and certainly not a hint of distortion anywhere. 'Hold me Tight' just plays superbly, as does 'You Really Gotta A Hold on Me'. There is absolutely minimal static between the tracks but you can also here a background track, before the full volume music starts. Superb! Silence between the track, and 'I wanna be your Man' powers in with super clear sound, and still not a single noticeable loud pop or click. Perhaps a slight tic in the middle but thats about it. The slower 'Devil in Her Heart' again plays really well, this really is a great audio performance. There is a bit of light static between the tracks and then 'Not a Second Time' again plays superbly. Rounding off side 2. is the classic 'Money', a track on this album that nearly always plays with problems, heavy distortion and buzzing on even little played pieces. This track I am delighted to plays really does play brilliantly, with great clear audio, again incredibly loud,  rounding off an excellent audio performance. 

The tonal quality make this a sensational pressing. With the clear and extra loud First cut engineering giving the audio a vibrant sound which cannot be beaten.

A great all round example of this classic vinyl. This is a great Audio pleasure and I would have to give the Audio a NEAR MINT grading.

Staggering first (stereo) mix, unlike the re-issues which lack the impact. A great all round, truly stunning example of this great vinyl.

THE RECORD - NEAR MINT

A lovely piece of glossy vinyl. Extremely heavy, ITS VIRTUALLY UN MARKED! 

A superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. Deep clear grooves that can only be found on the original early pressings, this vinyl has been little played. The record has great shine, with no scratches, just some (ultra) light handling marks /  paper removal marks. NO hairlines and certainly NO scratches. This is a really stunning example.

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE COVER

Original cover. With the Beatles was originally published with the misspelling "You Really Gotta Hold on Me", on the track listing on the back of the cover. These were quickly corrected, so the GOTTA covers are increasingly rare. If you are lucky enough to find a first press vinyl, having one with the correct matching cover is even more rare. 

With the Beatles covers have to be one of the most prone to wear, of all the classic Beatles vinyls from the sixties. The laminate is prone to cracking and lifting, with serious ring wear and destruction to the edges. The unlaminated back is usually heavily marked and The Spines are nearly always flattened, worn and un readable. Not this one!

Being the second Beatles album, it is extremely hard to find With the Beatles covers in anything like decent condition. This is a lovely example with virtually NO corner wear and only a couple of very light creasing to the laminate.

There is no rubbing along the edges. The opening edges are very square and un frayed, unbelievable rare for any Parlophone press of With the Beatles. The white areas are very white, with no blemishes. The back cover is nice and clean, with no discernible ring wear, which is very unusual for these delicate covers, just some very slight discolouration.

The Spine shows virtually no wear,  the spine text is totally intact, and is one of the squarer examples I have seen, with the manufacturers lightly 'pinched' ends. A great example. All round, this is a really stunning cover!!! Grades at EXCELLENT to EXCELLENT PLUS.

THE LABELS - NEAR MINT

Both labels are in NEAR MINT CONDITION, unmarked. NO spindle traces what so ever, and nothing really that would lead you to believe that this vinyl has ever been played. Stunning.

THE INNER 

Second Stereo pressings of With The Beatles with plain paper EMI picture inner. This fabulous pressing comes the original fragile red and white plain paper EMI picture inner. 

Stunning EXCELLENT PLUS condition, NO tears around the die cut openings, and NO wear at the tops. Crisp and Clean.

A really lovely example. You would be hard pushed to ever find a better one.

RARITY

An original PRESS copy of With the Beatles in this type of condition is Incredibly scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound. 

FIRST UK Yellow and Black original pressings of With the Beatles are getting rarer by the day. Finding one in all round great is extremely rare. A STEREO pressing with audio quality like this, and a gleaming vinyl and top cover makes this an EXTREMELY rare opportunity. With UNMARKED labels, no resale statement and a stunning cover and inner sleeve makes this an incredible rarity.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

The highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. I only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance, super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.
