Description
Extremely rare authentic and original Beatles Butcher cover slick, peeled and attached to a BLANK plain white cover with almost no flaws to the cover slick. It is the 1966 Mono edition of "Yesterday & Today" with the textured paper, best seen in the close-up of Paul in the photo. This cover includes the correct first press Mono record, West coast edition, with original inner sleeve, and was discovered in an estate sale in Oregon. Includes the letter from Capitol Records dated June 14, 1966, explaining the reason for withdrawing all "butcher covers" from the American market. NOTE: there are nine PHOTOs. #6 shows the blank back; Then - for comparison to standard Yesterday & Today albums, #7 shows both backs, #8 both left edges, #9 top rights. Hope this helps...
