This is a UK 1st press mono copy of "oldies but goldies" by the beatles on the black/yellow parlophone with "the gramophone co" and "sold in uk" text (PMC 7016)
The dead wax and mother stampers are as follows
side 1: XEX 619-1G (5-GOR)
side 2: XEX 620-1G (3-TO)
COVER: EX++
ORIGINAL EMI ADS INNER: M-
RECORD:EXCELLENT++/EXCELLENT
The record is very clean,it lies flat with no warp,in normal light it looks superb,but under strong light you can see a few hairline marks..especially one on side 2..IT IS NOT THRASHED!! as most copies are
It plays really well with the tracks playing virtually mint!!!..just the beatles at their very best!!..no loud crackles,clicks or pops and it does not stick or jump.There is a little background noise between tracks which is normal for original sixties records
The parlophone labels are ok,side 1 is very clean but side 2 has some spindle hole rubbing/wear
The original Garrod & lofthouse patents pending cover is nice,the front is very clean with no laminate damage.The back is also clean with no magor damage.Seams and spine have no damage and the spine text is clear and readable
