This is a UK 1963 1st press GOLD MONO copy of "please please me" by the beatles on the parlophone label (PMC 1202),super rare 1st press with the withdrawn DICK JAMES credits, early mothers/stampers of 1H/1H and NO TAX CODE
First i will mention the gold labels..they have not been "touched up" and have no visible spindle marks. As you can see the gold writing is very clear and bright, the only main problem with the labels is a little bit of rubbing on the holes (this is why i said they have not been touched up,i have seen copies where this would have been coloured in with a black pen!!)
The dead wax/stampers numbers are
side 1: XEX 421-1N (1-H)
side 2: XEX 422-1N (1-H)
The record is far from mint..it is more like a very good condition,it has a lot of whispy marks and a few scratches,it plays with background noises especially between tracks.the tracks themselves though can still be heard well and are not overshadowed by the crackling..not totally thrashed!!
The emitex inner is present
The original 1st press ernest j day cover with the credit on the front in the far right corner is not very good at all..more like bad condition..with splits, tears and writing (on the back)..it is the first press though!!
if the winner wants i will add a later 4th press cover which is nicer
