Description
This auction is for a copy of Yesterday And Today by The Beatles. This is a paste over of the famous “Butcher Cover”. Capitol Records/ST 2553. Released Jun 15th 1966. Cover underneath has the controversial photo of the group dressed in white butcher smocks showing cuts of raw meat & parts of toy dolls strewn about. Very few copies were reportedly sold in stores with this cover in its first state. I would guess that this is one of the best copies of this forty year old LP that you will see. The disc is in near mint condition. I have played it and did not detect any sound quality flaws. Visually it is also in near mint condition. No scuff marks, scratches, or signs of wear. Labels on both sides are near mint. The cover is in excellent condition. Vibrant white cover with glossy surface. Sign of wear on the front bottom cover. Running horizontally along the bottom just below Paul’s hands. The bottom left corner of the paste over cover has been lifted and Ringo’s left knee is visible. This is shown in the third scan. I have also included a scan showing the bleed through of Ringo’s V neck shirt on the cover underneath. The top seam at the mouth of the cover has a ¼” split. The bottom seam at the mouth of the cover has a ½” split. These are minor flaws that do not detract from the overall beauty of this album. The yellow inner sleeve has a four inch seam split and a two inch seam split. We accept PayPal, check or money order.
