BEATNIK JAZZ 45 Bob Dorough BLIPIDY BLAP Groovy 1965 Almo Promo NICE!
BLIPIDY-BLAP / STAND UP AND TELL HER
Bob Dorough
1965 / ALMO 224
Vintage 7" 45rpm Vinyl Record

White label "Not For Sale" promo version.

Bob Dorough's certainly not a performer who is well-known today, but back in the day he  did some pretty interesting stuff. He perfomed between Lenny Bruce's sets, wrote the  lyrics for a Miles Davis Christmas song, and is one of the few musicians with a vocal  performance on a Miles Davis record -- "Nothing Like You" from Sorcerer.

The younger and less jazz-minded might be interested to know that 1972 to 1996, Dorough  wrote and directed episodes of Schoolhouse Rock!, the immensely popular  educational animated televison series.

Offered here is a pretty rare piece of his discography.

Condition: A rather choice copy. Vinyl has some scratches, nothing horrible, and retains  its original sheen. Labels are bright and shiny with a touch of ring soiling. You will be  pleased.

All photographs are of actual item.

Full refunds cheerfully given for any item that I have misdescribed.
