BEAUREGARDE : S/T (F-Empire SP 7104) 1971 Original private pressing of Legendary Pro Wrestler Musician Heel who made his own lp, wrote his own songs years before the cheesy rock-n-wrestling crap that came out in the 80's.. Beauregarde was the evil heel who rode his 3 wheeled chopper around the Portland Oregon area where he wrestled...This lp features a teen age Greg Sage, later to lead the Wipers.....Music is Bluesy grungy doomy psych with some fuzz, inane, sometimes hilarious lyrics...Fits nicely into the psych genre as well as Incredibly Strange Music...Side 2 is the winner here with "I'm Talkin' Time" with Beau's evil howling and some sinister guitar, next is "Testify" (still being kept alive by Rancid Vat), and the doomy "Pass Away". Cover= VG-- and has some light staining/spots from moisture, but no damaged areas, looks like a coffee spill...a little wavy at cover opening but still displays/looks good. Disc has some surface wear /scuffs, nothing deep = VG. plays well with some surface noise/ crackle in places.
