Description
I'm in the process of converting all my albums to MP3. I have always tried to take care of my records and always returned them to the sleeve after playing. I have listened to the album before listing.
This album is: BEGGARS BANQUET by THE ROLLING STONES released in 1968 on the RED DECCA label in MONO. Made in UK. Catalogue number LK 4955
Side 1. The vinyl is in good condition, clean and shiny. There are a several hairline marks across the vinyl but these do not seem to interfere with the playing of the tracks which all play very well. There is a little crackle at the intro to track 1 but otherwise OK. The matrix number on the run off edge is XARL-8476-4A . The label is in good condition with a few marks on it and a few signs of spindle wear.
Side 2. As side 1 the vinyl is in good condition, clean and shiny. All tracks on this side play very well except a slight jump and a couple of clicks half way through track 1 and a couple of clicks at the end of track 2. There are a few hairline marks but these do not, mostly, appear to interfere with playback. The matrix number on the run off edge is XARL-8477-2A. The label is in similar condition to that on side 1.
The cover is the original gatefold cover which is in fairly good condition. The front of the cover is relatively clean with a few small creases and a few signs of ring wear. The reverse of the cover is also quite clean but has some creases and a small tear near the spine and shows signs of ring wear but all text is visible. The interior of the gatefold is very clean, no marks and few creases. The edges of the cover are all intact. The top and bottom edges of the front gatefold are in good condition but the opening edge shows signs of wear. The top and bottom edges of the back gatefold are in good condition but again the opening edge has some signs of wear. The spine shows a lot of wear and the text is not very visible. The inner cover is a paper sleeve which is intact but has some discolouring but I don't think this is the original inner sleeve.
