BELINDA Lp music by TOM ZACHARIAS with studio musicians and female singer. Original Swedish private pressing on SB label (LP-102), from 1973. Novelty, mailorder-only, rock erotica created specifically to be sold from ads in the back of early '70s porn magazines. This is one of 2 obscure recordings (see our other current auctions for the Belindas Döttrar aka Belinda's Daughter Lp) with music and vocals by cult Swedish film and television producer / singer songwriter, Tom Zacharias featuring top studio musicians and special guest star and additional female singer(?) Vera Fräsch. The underground music is pretty impressive on several themes... psychedelic funky rock or more lysergic sounds with fuzz guitar solos / stoned basslines and surprisingly funky drums / hip hop beats and breaks. A real period piece. Imagine a Nordic equivalent of Rudy Ray "Dolemite" Moore but on a strung-out rock tip with graphic lyrics sung in Swedish. Our soundclip opens with a sample of the funky drums and fuzz solo outro edited from SLAVINNAN followed by FREAK BABY the full SLAVINNAN / SLICKA MIN CLITTA / GAY CLUB and the sex game antics - slapping - climax of PISKA MEJ REDLOS. Lars Bergström and Tommy Broman from Levande Livet and studio drummer Rolf Alex are some of the known musicians on this album. Some Swedish collectors believe that Johnny Movinckel (of Telefon and Levande Livet) and Jan Bandel (of Atlantic Ocean) are performing as well. Super-tacky sleeve artwork showing Belinda with suggestive, come-hither look. Rare Lp!!! Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, VG++ condition overall with some hairlines and faint scuffs. A section of old marks (from the original pressing process) cross part of "Slicka Min Clitta" at the beginning of side B. Light surface noises. A couple of audible distortions midway "Gay Club" and a few more during the fading seconds of "Piska Mej Redlos" but most probably due to the actual pressing. A few soft pops / ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip) The soft card sleeve is in VG++ condition overall with some general creasing / ring wear and storage marks (mostly to back sleeve). Small split to middle spine area. Minimal light corner wear in places. Sharp looking item. Camera flash glare to sleeve and label photo. Rare Lp!!!
