Bembeya Jazz national orchestra: 10 ans de succes "Live au Palais du peuple Avril 1971"  - 1971 - Sylipone Conakry SLP24 - France.

The national orchestra from Guinean Republica created by politicians "Emile Condé" & President Ahmed Sékou Touré, for to promove national culture of the country. Lead by Sékou Bembeya Diabaté (guitar)& Aboubacar Demba (lead vocal). This LP is a live recording to "Palais du peuple" Avril 1971 in Conakry. The result is a mad afro jazz production with cuban overtones. Focus on AMAZING stage presence of the orchestra playing with rare virtuosity guitars, sax, trumpets, bass, tam tam & others. But the second good point is the osmose with the spectator that you can feel on each tracks. Listen tracks call "Temtemba" a surpriding afro soul jazz with terrific sax passage & guitar bass drive. "Doni doni" my prefered a tasty afro cuban jazz with sublime sax solo & electric guitar backing sing in french. Music speaks better than words… listen to the soundclip !
