BEN FOLDS ROCKIN' THE SUBURBS 2 LP VERY RARE AND COLLECTIBLE EPIC RECORDS ALBUM

Hi everyone,

This auction is for the extremely rare 2 LP version of Ben Folds' Rockin' the Suburbs album. I have checked many times and have never seen a copy for sale on eBay so this is one of the rarest modern LP's out there. As I mentioned this is a two LP set although the fourth side is blank so the whole album consists of three sides. It includes Hiro's Song which was not available on the CD.

The albums are visually in EX+ condition with the exception of a small but noticeable imperfection in the grooves of Losing Lisa. It looks like a discoloration or light scuff. I don't remember how it got there, it might have been there when I bought it which is why I never really played it. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that when I played the song through, I could not hear any auditory anomalies. There are no clicks or pops that I could hear after two listens. It does not seem to affect the music at all. I did not listen on head phones so some of you might disagree if you listen very closely but I guarantee that the blemish looks worse than it sounds. In fact to my ears all three sides play very quietly with only the very occasional soft click. I've had it since it first came out in 2001 so I am the only owner.

The cover jacket is also in EX+ condition. There are no spine issues or any major rips or tears of any kind except at the very bottom where there is a small amount of scuffing and a slight amount of corner mushing. There is a tiny 1/8" rip at the very bottom of the back cover. It is just the top picture layer that is affected where the glue ends, and not the cardboard underneath. There are also one or two very minor wrinkles in the front.Overall though it's still in really excellent condition and hasn't lost any of its gloss. The inner jacket that contains the lyrics does have a small spine rip of about two inches on one side, the other side is fine. I have since removed the LP and put it in a plain white reinforced sleeve so that the lyric sleeve stays safe.

Overall this a very clean and collectible version of this exceedingly rare album. It was recorded and co-produced by The Bens (Ben Grosse and Ben Folds) and Ben Folds plays most of the instruments for a truly "solo" album.

Shipping is $5.75 for priority shipping in the U.S. Lower 48. I use the global shipping program for international shipping which I know a lot of people hate but I have had no problems with them. I've shipped two rare records through them and got glowing feedback about how they arrived. But once they reach the shipping center everything is out of my hands and I will not be held accountable for any problems arising from their mishandling.
