For auction is BEN WEBSTER with STRINGS "Music For Loving" on Norgran MGN-1018, MONO, DG, 1955.
SOUND: VG+
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback was a very pleasant surprise, considering the look of the vinyl (see below). Anyway, the record sounds very nice! There is some mild surface noise, more audible during softer passages, but nothing extreme. But overall, the record played very, very well. Not for a perfectionist, otherwise very enjoyable!
VINYL: VG
As I alluded above, the vinyl show numerous marks from playing. These tend to be hairline marks and scuffs. Nothing deep though. the record plays better than it looks. The record has black/silver Norgren labels with deep grooves on both sides. Labels are in nice shape.
COVER: VG-
The cover is split top-and-bottom, but completely solid on the spine. Aside from this anomaly, the front and back covers are quite nice. They are clean with only routine aging or wear.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
