Roots Reggae/Lovers Rock/One Drop Side 1 - Track 1. Ain't No Sunshine (feat Livnal Thompson) Side 1 - Track 2. Ain't No Dub Side 2 - Track 1. When He's Gone (feat Sista Oona) Side 2 - Track 2. Ain't No Horns (feat King David Horns)

London-based producer Lewis Bennett reimagines Bill Withers' soul classic through a heavyweight dub lens, linking up with reggae icon Linval Thompson for the lead cut. 'Ain't No Sunshine' becomes a cavernous, head-nodding steppers tune here - built on thick bass, echo chamber snares, and Thompson's smoky vocal presence. 'Ain't No Dub' strips it all back to roots pressure, soaked in reverb and delay, while 'When He's Gone' introduces the voice of Sista Oona in a more melodic, dreamlike take. 'Ain't No Horns', meanwhile, showcases the King David Horns with warm brass flourishes winding through a laid-back, loping rhythm. Bennett balances fidelity to classic Jamaican techniques with modern clarity, letting each version build its own mood. Smart sequencing and subtle variation across sides make this more than just a novelty cover.
