Description

For auction is BENNY CARTER's "Cosmopolite," on Norgren MGN 1070, MONO, DG, 1956.


SOUND: NM

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Outstanding playback! Overall beautifully clean and clear. One tick in in A4, "I'll Be Around," that's it! Wonderful listening!


VINYL: VG+/NM

There are a few very faint, superficial scuffs either side, only visible under bright light. Otherwise, the vinyl is super-clean, even "newish-looking." Deep-grooved, yellow, Norgran "trumpeter" labels are beautifully clean and well-preserved!


JACKET: VG+ or better

The jacket is in excellent shape, with solid edges and spine. The lower left corner has a little bump-and-bend. The other 3 are excellent. The front cover is clean with vibrant color and very little wear. The back is unmarked and clean, with minor, routine aging.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability. 


Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.  


If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
