Description
Offered here is a SEALED 2 LP printing of the Benny Goodman 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz concert featuring Harry James, Count Basie, Gene Krupa, Lionel Hampton, Teddy Wilson, Lester Young, Buck Clayton, Ziggy Elman and others. Label is Columbia Masterworks, OSL 160. This is a reissue of the 1957 printing commemorating 25 years of Benny Goodman on records. Date of this reprint cannot be exactly determined without breaking the shrink wrap and examining the disc label but is likely 1963 or 1970 based upon the outer sleeve design, the appearance of the spine and the shrink wrap. The thickness of the two inner sleeves as visible through the wrap suggests that more than vinyl discs are contained.
The shrink wrap on the back of the package has two small defects, shown in the third image.
