BERMUDA TRIANGLE – Bermuda Triangle. Anazitisi Records ARLP 70-21F. Greek release. NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally issued in 1977. This black vinyl edition issued in 2008 in a press run of 400 copies. Comes in a heavy clear stiff vinyl outer sleeve which is sealed with a label sticker, the bottom seam of the outer plastic sleeve is cracked, bottom left side (no damage to bottom of the jacket). MEMBERS:  Wendy Penney, Sam, and Roger Penney. TRACKS:  Nights In White Satin, Right Track, Dream On, Lark In The Morning/Swallow Tail, Free Ride, Standing Together, Louisiana, Night Train, and Wind. BONUS TRACK:  as this is sealed I can’t tell what the bonus track is; most likely it’s one of the bonus tracks that appear on the US CD release. DESCRIPTION:  This information comes from the Anazitisi website:  The first ever official vinyl reissue of this folk-psych gem from New York City, USA. Originally released in 1977 on Winter Solstice Records, the group's own label, this is a very rare (R3-R4) album nowadays and hopefully it deserves every cent that you will spend for purchasing an original copy. It’s a strange mixture of haunting melodic folk and dreamy psychedelia. Both male and female vocals by Roger and Wendy Penney (who had also issued the extremely rare Roger & Wendy LP back in 1972) while autoharp, violin, percussion, and sound effects (wah wah, fuzz, phaser, delay) offer a “unique” atmosphere. Here's how the Acid Archives describes this fantastic album: Truly bizarre folk-psych album that's more enjoyable than a lot of "better" records. Two of the first three songs are weird loungy covers of Nights In White Satin and Aerosmith's Dream On, neither of which sound like anything else on the album. For surprise value alone, Dream On works the better of the two; since the Moody Blues tune was dangerously close to lounge to begin with. Most of the other songs are full of fiddle-style violin and autoharp, the latter of which is often treated with phasing, flanging and other effects. It feels like the songs are at a normal speed but the backing tracks are sped up. Some of the melodies are pretty speedy too. Spastic, cymbal-heavy drumming adds another layer of intrigue. One song sounds like a twisted take on funk, another like a hoedown. Both the male and female vocals are agreeable and work well in the context of these strange songs. The closing Wind (the Circus Maximus song) is another total departure, again not resembling anything else on the album, and sounding uncannily like a Linda Perhacs outtake (end of Acid Archives description). This album is kind of a shock on first listen, as it's not often I discover something so original and bizarre. One of a kind album that you have to hear it to believe it…!!! This is an official, fully licensed and autographed (this is sealed so I can’t verify the autograph), vinyl edition. Comes with an exact reproduction of the cover and label; includes extra 4-page insert with bio, photos, and lyrics. All printing is on high quality special paper (I’m assuming this means acid free). PVC protective clear outersleeve. Includes one extra unreleased track from 1974. Limited to 400 black and 100 colored, 180g. vinyl copies. This is the black vinyl edition (and no I can’t get the colored vinyl edition, you may try direct with Anazitisi Records via the web).

All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

RETURN POLICY:

I do my best to quickly post packages, but once the package is in the hands of the world’s postal systems it is beyond my control. With first class mail international my only option for investigating the loss of your package is to verify that it left this country to its destination country. Most all delayed/lost packages have disappeared/been delayed after they have reached their destination country. NOTE:  Based on recent buyer feedback, International packages have been moving much slower these days; it is not unusual for a package to take over three weeks for delivery (especially to Italy), though normally packages should arrive in 7 to 15 business days.
