Description
This Auction is for an early Mono LP
BERT JANSCH
1st Album
TRANSATLANTIC RECORDS LTD. TRA125 Mono 1965 Made in England.
This is a very nice copy which is also autographed on the rear side.
Record condition: Very good condition, heavyweight vinyl with light surface marks visible, but nothing detrimental to the record itself. I've played both sides all the way through and really enjoyed it. The record plays well and sounds great. I love that early "Mono" sound, especially when you crank up the volume a bit.
Label condition: The White and Purple textured Transatlantic labels are both in excellent condition. Both sides of the spindle hole are neat and tidy.
Outer Sleeve/Cover: Original laminated front, flipback outer sleeve in very good condition as well. Few slight wrinkles along the edges and a little bit of corner wear, but no major laminate lift. The spine edge itself is very good as well. Cover made by Garrod & Lofthouse with their traditional style. Rear side has a name and date in ink on the left hand corner and autograph of Bert Jansch with another name underneath in the right hand top corner. Bottom edge of flipback has bent over slightly towards the opening edge. Bit of general age wear, but still very nice and collectable.
Inner Sleeve: Original white paper die-cut and lined inner sleeve in good, original condition with a bit of yellowing age wear.
Summary: An autographed Bert Jansch first album in very nice, collectable condition.

All my records are played and graded by the "Bible" Record Collector's Grading System. Please see below:-
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extras such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
