Condizioni : copertina che mostra nella parte alta del retro quattro piccole scritte a penna che nel tentativo di cancellatura hanno leggermente sbiadito una lettera F e il numero di catalogo. Poca e lieve usura generale qui e là; grande stato, EX / vinile con  pochi e lievi segnetti che non condizionano l'ottimale ascolto, NEAR MINT

Conditions : cover showing in the upper part of the back four little pen writings which in an attempt to erasure have a little faded a letter F and the catalog number. Few and slight overall wear here and there, EX / vinyl has just few minor scuffs which do not affect play at all, NEAR MINT

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Notes : le musiche, composte da Bert Schefter e Paul Sawtell, sono eseguite dall' Orchestra e Coro dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia di Roma. Sinfonie ben articolate e stupendamente eseguite dove si privilegia più il carattere e la psicologia dei vari personaggi che l'azione nelle scene del film. Introspezione musicale certamente ma senza dimenticare la storia del film, disgraziatamente non allegra. Così sfuggendo da una facile retorica musicale in cui la drammacità viene esaltata, una malinconia struggente pervade le varie tracce con eleganza, quasi in silenzio. Ma, perbacco, si avverte distintamente !

Notes : music, composed by Bert Schefter and Paul Sawtell, is performed by Santa Cecilia Academy Orchestra and Choir of Rome. Well-structured symphonies and magnificently performed wherein it is put first the nature and the psychology of the various characters than the film scenes. Musical introspection but surely not forgetting the film plot, unfortunately rather sad. So avoiding from an easy musical rhetoric wherein dramatic nature is emphasized, a moving melancholy pervades the various tracks with eleganze almost in silence. But, goodness gracious, we perceive clearly it !

A dispetto dell'immagine della copertina e del suo stesso titolo che fanno istintivamente pensare a un buon prodotto per famiglie con bambini e amici degli animali, siamo di fronte a un film drammatico narrante le vicende di un ragazzino che desidera più di ogni cosa diventare affermato pittore. Ma la fine sarà tragica; come quella di Van Gogh, pur senza suicidio. Tratto dal romanzo " A Dog Of Flanders " (1872) della scrittrice Inglese Marie Louise Ramée che si firmava con lo pseudonimo Ouida, un film drammatico di produzione Americana. 

In spite of the image of the cover and the title itself which induce instinctively to think of a good product for families with children and animal lovers we are facing a dramatic film narrating the story of a boy who wants more than anything else to become famous painter. Unfortunately his the end will be tragic as that of Van Gogh though obviously without suicide. Based on the novel "A Dog of Flanders" (1872), of the English writer Marie Louise Ramée who signed herself with the pseudonym Ouida, a drama of American production.
