Bessie Smith is often refered to as the "Queen OF The Blues".  She was probably the most widely recorded of the Classic Blues singers.  It is said that her record sales kept Columbia records alive through the early years of the the great depression.  On this record she sings the one which won her the contest for the best recording about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927.  GREAT RECORD !

Record has only a couple of very light scuffs and scratches per side.  Surfaces are clean and shiney.  "B" side starts with some background noise but this disappears after 3 or 4 revolutions and then plays cleanly and quietly.  "B" side does have one needle drop which creates an audible "pop" for 4 or 5 grooves, but plays throughwith no problems.   Both labels are clean and flawless.  Looks V+, plays better.
