BESSIE SMITH - My sweetie went away/Whoa, Tillie, take your time (Columbia 13000-D) --- excellent [E] condition (minor visible wear or superficial marks but no serious defects) --- good solid E condition disc with some minor superficial scuffs but still plenty of gloss and as a laminated pressing it plays better than my visual grading --- interesting recordings where Bessie sings 1920s pop songs and makes them sound like "low-down" blues --- also an interesting disc as the first issue in the new 13000-D "race" series which was soon dropped and replaced by a 14000-D series (supposedly due to poor sales because of the "unlucky 13" connotation). <p> See my other auctions for further unusual records --- In the coming months I will be listing some fine and very collectable jazz, ragtime, "hot" dance, r&b and other 78s including many unusual records so it would be well worth your while to add me as one of your favorite sellers. <p> Please note that U.S. eBay requires that I show shipping costs and other details from within the U.S. but all items listed in my auctions are located in Australia or South East Asia and the shipping costs shown in each listing will apply.
