That Ingmar Bergman films possess a certain sense shouldn't surprise anyone. After all, his are among the finest achievements in the art of cinema.
That said, when such a director takes on the accents of music in such films, none perhaps have been as blessed as he, to employ the fine talents of pianist Kabi Laretei.
Here you will hear her contributions to Bergman films, to be sure, in her playing of Mozart, Chopin, Handel, and Scarlatti. But I tell you, it is all to be reckoned with…each to-die-for…transcendent…as if delivered from the fates themselves.
The audiophiles at ATR Mastercut in Germany knew this, felt every ounce of it, and so proceeded to gather the master tapes from Proprius in Sweden, to deliver every last ounce of Laretei possible.
The end result from such caring, I promise you, is astounding.
A beautiful copy, jacket without fault, record within all ashine. Looks brand new.
As if from a heart so pure, this music comes…it cannot be listened to, it can only be witnessed.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
