Description

THIS IS THE RARE MUDDY WATERS BEST OF ON CHESS BLACK LABEL LP*1427.

THE VINYL IS IN VERY GOOD++ CONDTION. PLAYS VERY WELL WITH SOME CRACKLE, BUT THE MUSIC COMES SHINING THROUGH. THE COVER IS NEAR MINT, NO SEEM SPLITTING AT ALL.

This very rare album contains a dozen of Muddy's most successful recording efforts. Little Walter's exciting harmonica is ubiquitously present. In addition to "Hoochie Coochie" is included Muddy's fastest mover, "i Just Want To Make Love To You." The popularity of this one is easy to spot. Aside from the musical excitement generated by Water's voice and guitar and Walter's mouth harp, the wistful-whimsical lyrics are attractive. In "Louisiana Blues," Rollin' Stone," and "I Can't Be Satisfied," Muddy's guitar is especially strong. Note the train-like effect of the instrument in "Louisiana." In "Honey Bee," call-and-response is eloquently in evidence: his guitar responding to his vocal "call." Others include the dolorous "Standing Around Crying," "Still A Fool," and the jump blues, "I'm Ready."

SIDE ONE : I JUST WANT TO MAKE LOVE TO YOU, LONG DISTANCE CALL , LOUISIANA BLUES , HONEY BEE ROLLIN' STONE SIDE TWO I'M READY HOOCHIE COOCHIE SHE MOVES ME I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME STANDING AROUND CRYING STILL A FOOL ``` I CAN'T BE SATISFIED

NEAR MINT means that it is in excellent condition. There may be slight wear on the cover, but no seam splits, and not a lot of wear, it still looks great. For the record it means that it may have a few light marks, but nothing feelable, or that would effect the sound quality.

VG++ means that the cover may have a small seam split, or a lot of wear, but still look good. For the record it means that there may be several light marks on the record, or a couple of feelable marks that could effect the play but would not ruin the record. This could mean a short scratch or 2 on one or 2 songs.

VG+ means that the cover has a huge seam split and some wear, or has a lot of wear. For the record it means that there is one or 2 long feelable scratches on the record, or a few short scratches
