DESCRIPTION
Betty Davis - “They Say I’m Different” Just Sunshine Records JSS 3500 (Stereo) from 1974. Hard to find Original Soul / R&B / Funk Female Vocal album by Mrs Miles Davis - Betty Davis. A great band featuring Buddy Miles, Pete Escovedo, Cordell Dudley, Larry Johnson, Ted Sparks, Victor Pantoja, Merele Saunders, Tony Vaughn and more! In the Original Inward Opening Gatefold Cover and includes the Original Poster!

CONDITION

The Gatefold Sleeve shows a slight bit shelf wear and corner softening but is generally in nice shape. There is an old price sticker (should be easy to remove) in the upper right corner. Still, super clean and solid with no writing, splits, tears, stains, cutouts, etc. and I would rate it as at least a strong VG. The Vinyl itself is in Glossy, clean condition and looks to have only been played a few times. If you look closely you can spot a light scuff or two and a couple light hairlines but plays great, pretty much Near Mint all the way through. I’m calling it EX to account for the light marks but could probaly just as easily be Near Mint. The labels show a couple light spindle trails and there is an old price tag on Side 1 but are otherwise Near Mint. The Poster has a couple extra creases but is at least EX.

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
