Born in Mississippi on November 23, 1939, she started singing in her church at an early age and has been singing ever since.  Her hit recording of You’re No Good acted as an immediate catalyst and gave her world-wide attention. 

This album explores the many talents of Betty Everett, and in particular suggest the authenticity and clarity of her voice.  Note the pure pop delivery of her June Night, the real bluesy blues Hands Off, and the teen appeal of the hit title number It’s In His Kiss, a Rudy Clark original that has also hit the headlines as The Shoop-Shoop Song.

It’s long been a favourite game among the record people to characterize the voice and styling of new artists with some of the old-timers – no one has been able to place Betty Everett, and this is good, because it attests to her freshness and originality.

The LP is in Very Good Condition with just a few surface marks and surface scratches

It plays well

The Sleeve is in Very Good Condition with just a tiny bit of scuffing and laminate creasing and very slight record rim outline
