VG+ (Very Good +)
Schallplatte und Cover können im Gegensatz zu NM kleinere Beschädgungen wie Knicke im Cover sowie leichte Kratzer enthalten, welche das Abspielverhalten nicht beeinträchtigen dürfen. Leichte Verformungen, sofern nicht hörbar, sind ebenfalls möglich. An den empfindlichsten Stellen der Cover (Unterkante, welche vom Gewicht Schallplatte abgerieben wird) dürfen bereits Anzeichen von Rissen erkennbar sein.

VG+ (Very Good +)In contrast to NM, records and covers may contain minor damage such as creases in the cover and light scratches, which must not affect playback. Slight deformation, if not audible, is also possible. Signs of cracks may already be visible on the most sensitive parts of the cover (bottom edge, which is rubbed off by the weight of the record).

VG (Very Good)
Werden die Abnutzungserscheinungen deutlicher sichtbar, spricht man höchstens von "sehr gut". Phänomene, welche bei VG+-Ware schon im Ansatz vorhanden sind, können hier stärker ausgeprägt sein. Kratzer sind schon so tief, dass man sie mit dem Fingernagel spüren kann, auf dem Cover dürfen leichte Rückstände von Aufklebern und deutlich sichtbare Abnutzung vorhanden sein. Auch das schwer zu vermeindende "Ring Wear" (Abdruck von Schallplatte und Label auf dem Cover zu sehen) zeigt sich ab dieser Kategorie deutlich. Allgemein sind deutliche Anzeichen von Gebrauch zu sehen, ohne tiefgehendere Beschädigungen, welche das Abspielen einschränken. Durch die oberflächlichen Kratzer und Gebrauchsspuren fehlt Platten dieser Kategorie meist der typische Oberflächenglanz von neuem Vinyl.

VG (Very Good)If the signs of wear are more clearly visible, the best that can be said is "very good". Phenomena that are already present in VG+ goods can be more pronounced here. Scratches are so deep that you can feel them with your fingernail, and there may be slight residue from stickers and clearly visible wear on the cover. The hard-to-avoid "ring wear" (imprint of the record and label visible on the cover) is also clearly visible from this category onwards. In general, clear signs of use can be seen, without deeper damage that limits playback. Due to the superficial scratches and signs of wear, records in this category usually lack the typical surface shine of new vinyl. 

G+ / G (Good + / Good)
Obwohl selbst als Good + bis Good eingestufte Exemplare noch ohne zu springen abspielbar sein müssen, zeigen sie deutliche Nebengeräusche und die Cover zeigen oftmals sehr große Beschädigungen von beispielsweise entfernten Aufklebern. Auch mit sehr langen Rissen und deutlichen Knicken sowie auffälligen Beschriftungen des Covers ist zu rechnen.

G+ / G (Good + / Good)Although even copies classified as Good + to Good must still be playable without skipping, they show clear background noise and the covers often show very serious damage from, for example, removed stickers. Very long tears and clear creases as well as conspicuous writing on the cover are also to be expected.
