Description

Up for auction is a nice, original copy of the self-titled album "Big Brother & The Holding Company" originally released in the U.S. on Mainstream Records (S/6009) in 1967.

-Guaranteed original pressing
-Still in opened factory shrink wrap
-Original blue & black labels
-First pressing date 8-16-67 etched in run-out matrix
-Original paste-down cover
-No UPC/bar code on cover

Condition:
The cover is in great shape, still in shrink, no significant signs of wear.  Some faint aging along right edge open end.  Small piece of tape on shrink bottom right corner.  Looks super bright and clean overall.  Hard to upgrade.  Grade: Near Mint Minus (NM-).

The vinyl is also very nice, still has its original glossy shine.  Has a few very light superficial hairlines, mostly in the run-out dead wax, but nothing serious or deep, and certainly nothing that affects the quality of the playback, which is Excellent!  The sound is clean and clear, no significant distractions.  Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes, indicating little previous play.  Very well preserved.  Grade: Excellent Minus (EX-), better than typical VG+ copies.
