Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the fourth and final LP by Big Brother and the Holding Company, released in 1971. After Janis Joplin departed the group, former Electric Flag member Nick Gravenites picked up the slack on lead vocals on their third LP, 1970's Be a Brother. He contributes on just one track here, though, leaving the vocals to guitarist Sam Andrew. The group's post-Joplin LPs lack the spark that she brought, but feature well played bluesy West Coast rock. The gatefold jacket has light ring, corner, spine, and seam wear, light staining on the back cover, and light creasing along the spine (EX-). The disc is clean with some light scraping and scuffing/loss of glossiness, and plays well with some light hissing (a function of general wear) -- EX(+).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
