Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! The opening “Big Hammer” track starts the record strong. It’s a banging mid-tempo psych funk track with a hint of eastern orient flickering in the mix, a dedicated vibe here & there. A stronger far east jam comes next, a down tempo sitar and flute driven easy mood groover “Annapurna”. Maybe a guitar-sitar but sounds a lot like a sitar \/ After the dramatic “Devil’s stronghold” sounding in place on Bokaj Retseim 'psychedelic Underground' Krautrock album and filled with big boom fuzz-tone & freaky leads meshes into “Rolling” - starting promisingly with a nice break, only then turning into a melancholic mid-tempo hip-groove. Next up are two quite heavy down-tempo psych funk tracks called “Beat norm” and “Heavy Lift”. Then comes one of the best tracks on the album, “What’s Coming” , a strong upbeat track with heavy break-handed drums and wailing melodies in the mix. Then there’s again two mellow psych tracks called “Blow-Suck Blues” and “Gentle Swell” before we get to the last track, “Bombilation”. “Bombilation” is a strong tempo organ driven psych funk banger with electric guitar work and varied beats. By the way all the songs are extended, moreso for a library record, being over three minutes making for a more enjoyable listen.
Overall one might presume the Bigroup to be some sort of background avant garde sexual folly. And being 1970, the band were definitely playing as “The Big Group”. Remember, they feature a track titled ‘Blow-Suck Blues’.
Musically, they sound more like a late 60s cutting edge post-Swinging London progressive group in 1970.
“Big Hammer” is a library psychedelic album with copious hard tiffs, fluttering flute, sitar, treble guitar, and roller coaster-venue organ in similar territory of Lp's like Blue Phantom, Hungry Wolf, The Underground Set , Overground Group, and the Fourth Sensation ... with playback setting your scene in enhanced atmospherics remaining the fact of a steal
