Description
Big John Jackson's 1st solo album, "The Oil Man" released on Earwig Records (LPS-4910) in 1987, features FRANK FROST on Piano, from their group, THE JELLY ROLL KINGS. It was AUTOGRAPHED by the great, late BIG JACK on the front cover in black sharpie over the yellow "The Oil Man" title (Scan 1). It is also signed on the back by Big Jack & Frank Frost but it was a ball point pen that has faded (Frank Frost's was just etched since the pen wouldn't write by then). It is also Autographed on the inner sleeve by Big Jack & Frank Frost, who also sadly passed away (Drummer Sam Carr died in 2009). Those signings were an after-thought as I found myself talking to all 3 after a concert in Seattle in the late 80s. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), when Jack & Frank signed the inner sleeve, it etched into the vinyl (which I neglected to take out) which causes some ticks when played. Under direct light you can make out the names in the vinyl. Kinda cool, though I didn't think so at the time. Later I got the CD, so I just consider this a display item.
The LP is in Very Good Plus condition and is clean other than the etched names descibed above.
The Cover is also in Very Good Plus condition with Mild wear to the front and back, Seams entirely intact and without wear, and Corners sharp. There are no Cut-Out or Promo marks.
