BIG JOE WILLIAMS ‘PINEY WOODS BLUES’ DELMARK 1969 RARE! POWERFUL BLUES! VG+ VG+.
Please find below details of albums from my collection that I am selling in the New Year to make space for new arrivals.
There are some great ones that hopefully will attract a lot of interest. I have cleaned them all carefully but some may benefit from a deeper clean from a professional machine.
All have been played carefully and enjoyed on my Project Debut turntable. Realistically albums from the late 60s / early 70s are likely to grade around VG+ using Record Collector gradings with newer ones up to Ex-. I do my best to grade realistically. Because of the number of albums the gradings are usually visual unless otherwise specified.
I have really positive feedback and can be viewed as a trusted seller. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries or if there are any problems. I package carefully and dispatch the day following the end of the auction.
I use Record Collector gradings for both vinyl and cover. Please make sure that you understand what they mean.
I'm not trying to make a killing on postage costs and am happy to combine postage up to a weight of 2kgs in the UK.
I try to avoid the Global Shipping Program because it does not allow sellers to combine postage for international bidders. If you are an international bidder and would like precise postage costs for combined items please contact me.

This one is ‘Piney Woods Blues’ by Big Joe Williams which was originally recorded in 1958. This is a 1969 American pressing released on Delmark. It’s a really nice heavy pressing with a stiff cover very evocative of the period. The vinyl still sounds great (I’m listening to it as I type!). It’s slightly crackly in the quieter passages but is tremendous. I’d be confident to grade both vinyl and cover as VG+.
