PHOTO DETAILS Big Punisher aka Christopher Rios (1971-2000), one of the greatest lyrical assassins of all-time, dropped Capital Punishment, his debut album, in 1998. Executive produced by Pun, Fat Joe, and Matt Life, this album has it all, plain and simple. With guest appearances coming from Black Thought of The Roots, R&B singers Joe & Missjones, Wyclef, Funkmaster Flex, Dead Prez, Noreaga, Prodigy, Rebel INS, and Busta Rhymes, there is no way possible that any hip-hop fan can look at this lineup without seeing one of their favorites. Additionally, on this album Pun shined major light on his Terror Squad family (Fat Joe, Cuban Link, Prospect, Armageddon, Triple Seis), showing love to those who have been down all along. This is excellent album -- in my opinion the best Latin-bred hip-hop album ever -- and one of the nicest albums of the last decade. Every track is banging, Pun's flow and lyrical ability are amazing, and production is tight all throughout. "Beware", produced by legendary hip-hop beatsmiths The Beatnuts, starts the album off with one of it's best cuts and prepares you for the dope sh*t that follows throughout. "Still Not A Player", the lead single to album, was the song that blew up on the radio, a positive upbeat joint that became a memorable hip-hop anthem. Numerous other mega hip-hop classics produced by the likes of Rockwilder, Domingo, L.E.S., Showbiz, and many others can be pinpointed throughout, from "Dream Shatterer" to "Capital Punishment" and beyond... every track is on-point. This album is a definite must-have for any true DJ or hip-hop fan out there... so grab it now!!!Released in 1998, this album is now long out of print and is impossible to find on vinyl these days.
