Description
For Sale BILL RANK & ANGLO-AMERICAN ALLIANCE RARE AUDUBON LP! STORYVILLE 1968. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THIS VERY RARE RECORD (last copy was available on ebay probably in 2004) . In 1968 veteran trombonist Bill Rank (ex- Bix Beiderbecke / Jean Goldkette) visited England and recorded with The Anglo-American Alliance, led by John R.T. Davies and featuring the Bixian cornet of Dick Sudhalter. Only 25 copies (I also found information about 99 copies- I was not able to determine what is the true number) of this 10" Audubon unnumbered LP were ever pressed by John R.T. The original Plain White sleeve has handwritten details of the personnel and tracks ( two other copies I heard about had also handwritten details so I guess this is how they were maid). A very rare and desirable item

sleeve- Vg++/Ex- light ring wear, the plain white carbord sleeve became yellowish due to the age vinyl - Vg+ few hairlines on side 1, some surface marks visible when held up to the light, but still nice and shiny.Record was tested and still sounds great with some pops, crackles
I use Record Collector Mag Grading shown below, rating the vinyl first then the sleeve, for example; EX/VG . Any problem with your purchase, please contact me before leaving feedback - my aim is buyer satisfaction.
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
