Description

Private Burton label out of Jacksonville, Florida is a  very light bluish/green with a lightly written name on A side( see photos)..Such a rare and extremely hard to find treasure that has to have a small chip!!..This is an original 1958 record with the dead wax numbers of "Burton 816 -A" and "Burton 816-B" with the A on the "Messed Up" side..also in dead wax are the letters very small "sJw" on each side..there appear to be other extremely small letters that I can't make out...Vinyl has obscure sleeve scuffs under a bright light and shows great luster..no visible scratches that effect play at all... This record was found in a stack of old records along with Elvis, Fats Domino and others from the 50's...I played both sides on my old school player (manuel tone arm) and they sounded fantastic...Killer Rock-a-billy guitar..no skips at all..I was able to place the tone arm behind the chip on each side and no grooves were cut off...played entire song on each side..I mention this because of the chip..it did not effect playability on my player..Even with a chip, this is very rare find that surfaces very rarely for sale...Will be very carefully sandwiched between extra layers of commercial cardboard and packaging for shipping..I will ship this record in the US for $4.00 and can add insurance if needed..any others please inquire as I do ship worldwide (usually around $15.00)..I will try to answer any questions you may have if interested...Thank you very much for looking...
