ORIGINAL BILLIE HOLIDAY MEMORABILIA: UK PRESS LETTER TO LOUIS MCKAY

  • This is one of a few items of Billie Holiday interest that I will be listing over the next few days. This is an original signed letter from journalist Mike Butcher of the UK New Musical Express to Billie's husband Louis McKay dated 22nd February 1954. The writer asks if Louis and Billie had a safe journey back from the UK. He was loking forward to receiving Billie's new Aladdin recording. It also talks about arranging some releases on the UK Decca label.

  • Here are the details:

  1. The letter has a fold and light creases and there is some writing (calculations) on the plain back of the letter. The letter has an orignal signature of the writer

  2. Shipping within the US will be between $2.50. Rates outside the US will be advised and items will be sent by airmail. Insurance within the US is a further $1.75 up to $50 cover if you require it.

  3. Full refund is given for any reason if goods are returned within 10 days of receipt
