Description

One of the rarer BILLIE HOLIDAY 10" records you will ever see. Recorded in 1954 on the always desirable CLEF record label. The record numbers is: MG C-161. This is a highly sought after record. The record is in VG+ condition... with steady play and no skipping. There is a very light background hiss throughout, but I test-played it on a Bang & Olufsen high end turntable with a very light setting. This is really meant to be played at a heavier weight which would eliminate any hiss. The labels are in wonderful condition, with no writing or unusual wear... they look brand new. There is absolutely no spindle wear at all! This record has been well taken care of. Don't pass this up! The record cover is highly sought after because of the wonderful artwork by David Stone Martin. There is a bit of typical ageing to the cover... but would frame out beautifully (most people frame this record cover). There is some typical light spine wear but no serious splitting issues... This record is music history. I have made a major purchase of ultra rare rock, jazz & blues albums!
