1968 uk Page One PROMO - POF-099. MINT. Here is a brilliant MINT original 1968 uk first pressing of this criminally overlooked very-rare Mod-Soul 45 by the obscure female singer 'Billy Budd'. Both tracks are really excellent late 60s Mod-Soul, it's hard to decide which is best, but for me the superb B-side is just that little bit better, with a excellent beat with some great fuzz/lead guitar. This single sold almost nil on release and so is near impossible to find today in nice condition. With this listing i have provided complete MP3s of both sides, these MP3s were taken directly from the vinyl. The pictures are of the actual 45 for sale. Please check out my other items!!
CONDITION = MINT-
Both sides of the vinyl have a brilliant original deep glossy unmarked sheen, there really are no surface marks, scuffs or hairlines at all, this rarely offered Mod 45 looks in mint unplayed condition and will not need a future upgrade..GUARANTEED!!!!. Both tracks play and sound really fantastic throughout with barely even a hint of background crackle, this 45 has only ever had just one or two very careful plays on a decent turntable in 42 years, so there is no lessoning in the sound quality at all. The promo labels are in perfect clean condition, and the original Page One paper cover is in excellent clean condition with some light creasing.
If you collect rare Mod, Psych and Freakbeat 45's, and the stranger and more obscure beat/Blue-Eyed Soul and Pop-Sike releases from the mid to late 1960's, then this musically superb very-rare MINT 1968 Mod-Soul 45 by 'Billy Budd' would make a really brilliant addition to any serious collection.
