Description
One of Fury's more interesting 45 releases from the 60s, issued on the 22nd of May 1968 and sadly never charted... The first side is in the shape of a bombastic cover of David Bowie's 'Silly Boy Blue', which originally appeared on DBs Deram LP in 1967.
The flip side, 'One Minute Woman' is a cover of a Bee Gees track (written by Robin, Barry & Maurice Gibb) and featured on 'The Bee Gees 1st', their UK debut album also from 1967.
Production duties are from Vic Smith, who later went on to produce most of The Jam's catalogue in the 1970s as Vic Coppersmith-Heaven.
Both cuts are arranged by Alan Tew, who also worked on some of Cat Stevens Deram releases around the same time. Tew gives both songs a similar treatment and feel.
OK. Onto the record itself... Parlophone R 5681:
There is a slight 1cm vinyl blemish and a small paper scuff towards the end of side one, which thankfully does not affect play. There is also a tiny blemish (about 5mm) along the run-in groove. Once again, this does not affect play.
The flip side displays a very light scuff at the beginning of the run-in and also along the first few grooves. Again, these do not affect play. Both sides have visible light paper/sleeve marks but all-in-all, this is a nice copy to own.
Both sides display very few spindle marks. It would seem whoever originally owned this was more a fan of 'One Minute Woman'!
I grade the record as VG+, although it does play better then it looks. There is very little surface noise throughout.
The record is housed in an original Parlophone sleeve, with the push-out centre intact.

Please take a look at the other BF 45 I am currently auctioning, 'Suzanne In The Mirror'.
Please take note of the price increase, which is due to the Royal Mail whacking their prices up considerably, especially for overseas shipments!
Anyone who wishes to bid outside the UK, I would recommend paying extra for the RM International Signed For service, just to be on the safe side.
I will not be held responsible for 'missing' records in the post.
Payment to be received no later than 3 days of the auction ending.
Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this auction.
I will be sporadically listing a few records from my personal collection over the coming weeks and months, so please add me as a Favourite Seller.
Thank you for looking!
(I have been collecting, buying, selling and trading records since my mid-teens and would like to think I am fair with gradings and starting prices. As of May 2012, I am new to selling records on eBay (I am VERY good at buying them!), so if you are the highest bidder/winner and have any issues with your purchase, please contact me before leaving feedback)
