Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy of the second and final LP (third counting their debut LP as the Boys Next Door) by Australian post-punk group the Birthday Party, released in 1982. Featuring lead singer Nick Cave and guitarist Rowland S. Howard, their swan song is arguably even more unhinged than 1981's Prayers on Fire with avant-noise tracks like "Big-Jesus-Trash-Can" and the title track, and fuzzfests like "Dead Joe" and "Hamlet (Pow, Pow, Pow)." The volatile group would move into bluesy territory for two 1983 EPs, then fragment, with Cave moving on to a long solo career. The jacket is close to pristine (M-). The disc is clean with some light scuffing, and plays with light surface noise at the start of track 1, side 1, and otherwise with minimal surface noise (EX+). The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (EX).
I’m helping a friend sell his personal collection. I have play graded (spot checked) discs. The jackets will be shipped in plastic sleeves with the discs removed from them.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
