Description
This is one of the RAREST of the RARE as far as NORTHERN SOUL 45's go.
The M.B.s, a Kansas City, Missouri based band in the late 1960's headed by Tommy Ross on vocals
From Independence, MO, the initials stand for Modern Blues Sound, their music was PURE NORTHERN SOUL,
as in the DEFINITION of the phrase.
Well, EVERYBODY knows of the 45 record ANOTHER DAY by this group, ( go to this link to listen to it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3UD_zyljdY ), ALWAYS in demand and extremely scarce to find, read the comments in the YouTube comment area on that song. Also, see the scarce advertisement flyer on the band, sold on ebay awhile ago, item # 320641881180).
OK, now do a google.com search for THIS 45 record. You know what, if you are lucky you will find this auction.
THAT'S IT!!!
There is no evidence anyone even has a copy of this 45 record for sale or in a collection. Several people in the know did not even know this 45 existed.
I bought a box of records 11 years ago in a southern Leawood, KS (S KC metro suburb city) estate sale, put it in storage, moved 7 years later, buried it in boxes in my garage, and during the blizzard we had in Kansas City last week dug the box out & went thru the titles. FOUND THIS GEM in it!
Here is about 90 seconds of EACH side on audio, too. The record player, probably specifically the needle on it, was responsible for the unperfect sound bite on the side B song, and being an older belt driven Panasonic combo stereo the 45 speed might also not be perfect, perhaps a bit slow.

This side is clean and VG cond. no significant scratches, label intact, no writing.

This side a step less on condition, with more minor scratch wear and a couple small smudge areas very near the end of the song. I absolutely believe these can be cleaned but I am leaving it to the winner to do properly. Label has faint paper wear on the lifted ring of the label, SLIGHT, label is intact with no writing on side B either.

I was VERY fortunate to find one of these in the local Kansas City area, B-Jet label was a KC, Missouri record label. Kansas City MO is full of Jazz and blues history.
I would have to think only a HANDFUL of this 45 here still exists, or were even made to begin with. No LP by The M.B.'S was ever cut to my knowledge. The ONLY OTHER 45 record by them's side A track I have the link to above is on 1 of the the greatest blues/soul hits CD's.
