Description

Please see details of postage fees below.  Please wait for my invoice in the case of multiple purchases.

From a collection of unplayed EMI pressed 78 rpm records of African music, in storage for the past 55 years.  Note the catalogue number sequences.  All are in M condition unless described otherwise.  All have original paper sleeves.  A rare opportunity for collectors of Ghanaian and Nigerian 78s.  Sorry, no soundclips as am unwilling to play with a cartridge designed for microgroove.  However, in the case of the Tabansi titles, I have played enough to be able to give details of instrumentation.

All details will be clear from the photographs, so please excuse the minimal verbal description.

Check my other listings, my feedback, and bid with confidence.  Any reserves are realistic.  Good luck!

Regulars will know that I keep my descriptions brief and to the point.  If you are looking, I figure you will know what you are looking at.  I would not presume to condescend nor would I wish to bore you to death.  All records checked on EMT 930/929/TSD15.

Recorded Delivery world wide shipping as always.  Discounts for multiple purchases.  Shipping is always at cost, including packing materials.

Postage for 1 LP to UK, £5.00 standard, £7.50 signed for (always preferable).  Signed For postage for 1 LP to Europe, £12; Signed For postage to Rest of World, £15.

I ensure that my records arrive with you in the same lovely condition they leave me. They are sandwiched between two 34 x 34 x 1.25 cm sheets of expanded polystyrene and securely packaged in sturdy professional custom made cruciform card wraps.  In the case of 78 rpm discs I will use extra board.  I do not use bits of old cardboard box or those cheap flimsy envelope style mailers. Records are always packed out of the jackets to avoid any splits.

I don’t like to say this, but if you cannot pay, please do not bid.
