DESCRIPTION=
One of the 1st DUB LP issued as you all know with JAVA and AQUARIUS DUB in 1973.
For my part, this one is much stronger than the others with stereo separation so every cymbal, guitar, snare, cowbell, and shaker is crystal clear (on left speaker), while every bass thump is as solid as a heartbeat (right one).
Several isues of this LP, the one for auction here , “BlackBoard Jungle” in green Upsetter which is more common, the black Upsetter one issued at same time than the Clocktower release ( no stereo, different mix ans only 12 tracks) and then the reissue in 90s with a red cover issued by C.Dodd himself (same mix as the one in auction).
So 1st issue offered here titles “UPSETTERS 14 DUB BLACK BOARD JUNGLE”, pressed only in 300 copies! Sometimes it s said 300 copies pressed of an LP but you see it every two months on ebay as Zukie in Dub on Star for instance.
Personnaly I rarely seen this one on sale.
Sadly the LP is not in great condition. Please read carefully, I describe precisely song by song condition of the wax to avoid to be disappointed=
Side A,
A1 plays with heavy background noise
A2 & A3 = please listen samples , play VG
From track 4 to end of side, it plays strong VG+
Side B
B1, noisy with 3 heavy cliks and a tiny jump in the last 2 seconds of the song (not disurbing at all)
B2 VG backgound noise , 1 jump in the last 10 sec.
B3 VG+
B4 VG 1 jump in 1st 10 sec
B5 once again tiny jump in 1st 5sec then plays nice
Then LP plays strong VG++ almost EX
So a used record but not a collector one as music overcome background noise and you ll be surprised by clarity of some sounds.
Please listen to samples, I try to put the most noisy song (1st ones of each side) to the better one (last ones) in order you get a correct idea on how it plays.
Blank sleeve as issued, not warped at all.
No reserve price, nice chance to get it for cheap ( in Mint condition, very high price).
