A beautiful example of V5 (that is usually sold as V2... )
Sent fully insured, via USPS Priority Mail.
I acquired this disc in the mid ‘80s and am his second owner. This 7” was not played for the better part of three decades.
I am pricing this guy to sell quickly, but please look at the photos and description before buying. My recent feedback should give you an idea of the accuracy of my grading, but feel free to contact me if you want larger photos or have specific questions on condition.
Pressing/Version
I primarily used discogs.com to determine the version-it is frigging amazing how many of these are sold as V2s...
Looking at discogs, this seems to be a great example of V5 – note the straight cut on the sleeve’s back and the Arial font on “RECORDS” and “BLACK FLAG”. Estimated number of pressings is somewhere around 2000.
Condition
The disc
I played each side of this record two or three times with a new stylus on a turntable that’s notorious on Amazon for its skipping tendencies (it’s got an insanely lightweight tone arm.) This system wasn’t good enough for me to truly judge the disc's fidelity, but I heard no popping, and the needle never skipped, the needle never got stuck.
Without a great system, much of this description had to rely on a close visual inspection. The notes below are overly-long, but I’m hoping they’ll be of some help. I tend to be ruthless in noticing the flaws of vintage items. Again, please see my feedback to get an idea of what previous buyers have said.
The disc itself looks great. Almost everything I noticed took a lot of looking at an angle against the light. Anything I’d really consider a true scratch appears on the lead-in or lead-out grooves. The lines I see on the tracks themselves are very shallow and/or very thin. On the first side, I caught two areas of scuffing across the track-one of those looks like it has two distinct but faint surface lines, the other might have four or five. I think this side has two or three 1mm dints, but these are so shallow I kept losing them in the light. I saw one shallow scratch on the second side’s track 2 (about 4mm long) and one area of very faint scuffing (looking there repeatedly it looks like it contains six faint surface lines.) Not a perfect disc, but quite amazing after three decades. And the center labels are very nice.
The sleeve
The photos show some rumpling, slight edge fading, and a few small areas of discoloration, but as a whole, the sleeve display very well. No splits or tears, and a good consistent sheen.
After three decades, this guy’s disc and sleeve have really held up. And the music has definitely stood the test of time.

This will ship via USPS Priority-I don’t want to expose this piece of history to the risks of Media Mail. Disc and sleeve will be packed separately to prevent any damage to the cover art; all will be ludicrously well-protected for their journey to their new owner. Fully insured, shipping for USPS Priority is 5.90.
