Black is Beautiful
Century Records, Oklahoma City
Douglass High School Showcase from 1970
Featuring one of the coolest song ever .. Black is Beautiful by The Trinikas
This song was later recorded as a 45 on the Pearce label, but this is the rarer and better version imho
The album is dedicated to Marsha Bratton of the Trinikas who was killed in a car accident before this album was released.  The rest of the group later recorded the single again in her memory.  This is however the slower tempo and groovier live version that you can't find anywhere else.
Besides the Jazz-Rock Satire of My Fair Lady, which is pretty neat, the rest of the album is your standard gospel choir music.  The Trinikas song alone makes this album a keeper

Cover is VG to VG+ (front and back image look great, some corner creases, and top and bottom edges have shelf wear)
Vinyl is VG (small scratches, moderate surface noise that is mostly only noticeable in quiet passages)

I sold the only other known copy of this record a year ago and this record plays much better than that one. This could be the last one, don't let it slip away!
