BLACK MARKET BABY Potential Suicide (LIMP Records (Limp 035), 1981) 7"
Condition: sleeve and record in excellent (ex) and better condition ; VERY CLEAN copy, plays great
Very rare original pressing from 1981 on LIMP Records, not the repress or the record store day issue.
"These guys are more melodic and not quite as fast as the DC hardcore bands on Dischord Records. It's a real
classic 1977 sound, retaining a thin line between heavy metal and punk, but alienated by its lyrical content and
guitar playing. "Potential Suicide" is the popper of the two, reminiscent of the punk to new wave cultivation of a
few years back. "Youth Crimes" is a bit faster, and although milder than other DC music, it possesses a very
driving and disturbing drum beat that is one of the qualities that make this a good record.
