Detailed description

Black Sabbath's very first LP issued in 1970 with the large Vertigo swirl on the labels and with the text 'Philips Record Product' reported as well. All of you probably know that if this text is missing on the vinyl then it is a later pressed vinyl. It also comes in a gatefold cover and with the original swirl inner sleeve.

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath - Original UK Vertigo Large Swirl Pressing - 1970 Vinyl Stereo LP. Classic album with the ultra rare Philips Record Product text.

Originally released in 1970.

All Bidders: Because of the rarity and cost of this album I will require it to be posted using registered mail and tracking which adds to the basic postal costs.

This record VINYL is NOT brand new or in mint condition so if that is what you are after then to avoid any disappointment please refrain from bidding if you prefer mint condition.

The record shows signs of having been played but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional scratch.

      Record

I have played the whole vinyl to check for crackles and surface noise.                                        Some surface noise during the bass solo on N.I,B at the beginning, 2 pops in Evil Woman and slight surface noise at the begging and in the quiet parts of The Warning...and very very light surface noise between songs ending and the next starting. However this does not effect the audio and is not noticeable throughout. It plays superbly, the audio is very crisp and clear.

I have looked at the vinyl under heavy lighting and can see very fine scuff marks

This Vinyl VG+

Based on this grading : Record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. The flaws may cause some surface noise,

This is still a great sounding album with magnificent production quality from that era.

Cover and Sleeve

The cover is gatefold unlaminated version and shows basically NO SIGNS of wear at all it is in a tremendous shape (Ex++++) so does the Vertigo inner sleeve showing NO SIGNS of aging (unlike most of them do) therefore in near perfect condition as well.

The text including the spine is all 100% readable.

Label

The labels are very clean ....although on the B side label on the swirl there is a circular sticker ( I have not attempted to remove it) as you can make out on the picture.
