I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Fair / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.
BLACK SABBATH.
1st LP.
1970 VERTIGO SWIRL LP - VO 6.
This is not the very 1st pressing as it does not have the Philips credit on the side 2 label.
Large Swirl On Side 2 Label.
The record has VO6 1Y*1 / VO 6 2Y*1 matrix numbers.
The Cover / Strong VG condition / The cover is still looks fine. The cover has edge wear plus some storage wear. This is a strong very good condition as you will see via my pictures.
The Record / Strong VG condition / The record has a nice original gloss and plays well. Under halogen bulb the record has a little light surface wear / some light marks . The record plays well with just a little surface sound on the quiet tracks. This is a strictly graded example and is a nice record to play. This disc has a strong VG+ play grade!
The Labels / VG++ condition / Both labels are in decent shape.
The Inner / VG- condition / Some age wear but still presentable. .................................................................................
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
