Sabbath formed in Aston, Birmingham, UK late 1969 taking their name from an horror movie adapted from a Dennis Wheatley novel and this is their debut LP issued on Phillip,s new progressive label, Vertigo "Swirl".The album achieved a UK chart position of no. 8, Ozzy had finally made the scene. No doubt this high chart position was due to Sabbath,s growing reputation gained from incredible live performances. I dont know about inference to the occult or black magic but the album is spellbinding full of electric guitar wizardry.
Reaching a top ten position in the charts the album is by know means rare, but to find one in this condition is a different matter, for some strange reason most heavy rock albums were abused by their owners.
Silent run in grooves between tracks, no clicks or annoying hiss and crackle on the quieter passages it plays perfect, just like it came from the shop 34 years ago. Great opportunity to replace your worn copy.
