I have been told that this is one of the rarest Black Sabbath records of all! A copy sold for £750 earlier this year!!

This is the original UK 1st pressing of Master of Reality on the Vertigo swirl label with the withdrawn version of the box cover which has the first track mis-spelt as "Sweet Life" and the original (not 'reversed') version of the Vertigo swirl inner sleeve but still with the 0671 date-code!!!!

This has the following matrix numbers: 6360050 1Y//1 and 6360050 2Y//1.

I am selling this for the rarity of the box cover rather than as a copy to play, because the first track briefly has some bad surface noise and a few skips and there are some repetitive clicks in "Solitude". The rest of it sounds okay and probably grades around Very Good.

The box cover is still quite shiny. There is some minor damage and signs of use, but it looks pretty decent overall. The rare 0671 NON-reversed inner is in a bit if a sorry state - it has sellotape repairs to all three edges and the initials W.B. written in small writing on one side and is generally showing its age, but is still useable. I will also include a brand-new plain inner sleeve.

MINT: The record looks brand new and has no signs of ever having been played. The cover and packaging look brand new.
NEAR MINT: The record shows minimal signs of having been played, with no marks on the playing surface and perhaps some light spindle trails on the labels. The cover and packaging look almost like new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.

Where an item falls between two grades then plus or minus (+ or -) may be added.
