Those Old Records

Lichfield - Staffordshire - England

"Keeping vinyl alive"

All records are professionally cleaned prior to review and housed  in polythene outers in order to protect the sleeves.

Black Sabbath

Paranoid

Catalogue Number: 6360 011

Matrix Numbers: 1Y/2Y - Machine Stamped

Label: Vertigo - Immaculate Labels.

Vinyl: The album is in Excellent condition, it has been professionally cleaned on an Okki Nokki  No scratches, there are two marks on side 2 and one on side 1. These are not play impacting in any way. I have played the album right through twice on a Clear Acoustic turntable and I cannot detect and pops, clicks, jumps etc. The sound quality is FANTASTIC,  I don't often go on about the qaulity of sound but album knocked me for six. It is wonderfully heavy and reinforces my view that vinyl is the only way to listen to music. Otherwise, the vinyl looks like now, a glass like sheen throughout. The album lies perfectly flat on the deck. Stunning material and highly recommended.

Labels: Side B has the larger 42cm Swirl logo nly available on early issues. The 33-1/3 is above the SIDE B. Vertgo is at the base of the label

Year of Release: 1970

Country Of Release: UK

Manufactured In: UK

Sleeve: The non laminated gatefold sleeve has been strengthened by clear tape at the edges. No mention of Big Bear music on this sleeve. There is a little paper lift top right hand front and initials in pen to the inner (very small). There is shelf rub to the spine and general wear. Overall I would place it at Very Good +. The album is housed in a lined Vertigo swirl inner which has the name of the album in pen on one side.

Description: One of the heaviest albums ever released. Wonderful music from a great band. This is a very early issue of this great album and despite the marks on the vinyls is still in fantastci condition. If you really want to HEAR this band properly it has to be on vinyl.

Small business founded in 2006 – based in Lichfield Staffordshire. We sell high quality vinyl, singles and occasionally CDs. In addition, we organize a number of specialist vinyl record fairs in Lichfield. . We aim to provide the very best customer service at all times – accurate gradings, strong packaging and all at a keen price. Any queries please mail me at thoseoldrecords@btinternet.com

Record Grading:

All records are graded as per the standards set by Record Collector. Records are examined under a strong halogen light and graded accordingly. In addition, all NON MINT records are played on a Clear Acoustic turntable. I tend not to get carried away with the classification or use words like “impossibly rare” “vault copy” or any other such nonsense.  My reviews are precise and to the point.  It is assumed that you know something of the artist so I rarely provide a description of who they are/were etc. The High Numbers become The Who, `N Betweens become Slade – you will not find a long description on the history in these reviews.

Record Cleaning:

All NON MINT albums are professionally cleaned prior to classification on an Okki Nokki record cleaning machine before dispatch.

Packaging: (all vinyl 7” + 12”)

Packaging is of the highest quality.  I use professional mailers at all times, each record is supported by 2 cardboard stiffeners. The inner sleeve and record are packed individually in order to reduce wear on the sleeve in transit. The record, inner and cardboard stiffeners are then packed inside a high grade polythene record protector before being sealed in the mailer. The mailer is then supported by tape around the edges in order to minimise risk.
