Description
Black Sabbath 'Paranoid' on the Vertigo label catalogue number 6360 001 (stereo).
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side A: 6360011 1Y//1 v420 1 2 6 Side B: 6360011 2Y//1 v420 1 2 2 0
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Side A has some light wispy scratches and six that can be more easily seen, as well as a few small scuffs. At the start of Side A there are some ticks for about half a minute, they are not nasty but they are noticeable otherwise it plays brilliantly all the way through with just a little crackling in the quiet sections. Side B is very similar to Side A but without any ticks at the start but there are a few towards the end. This vinyl does not seem to have been played very often, it sounds really great nearly all of the time, no sticks, no skips, no jumps.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels are in excellent condition, they have a few small spindle lines but no writing and no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type, it doesn't have any coating or laminate. It has some surface rub wear from storage and some more rub wear on the edges and corners. The centre piece looks almost new (there is no 'Big Bear' credit which I am told there was on some of the earliest ones).
The spine is good and fully readable with just a little bit of rub wear and a few small scuffs.
The inner sleeve is the original with the big swirl pattern both sides, it came with the album. I have checked the Record Collector grading system - the cover is probably 'very good+' and the record is at least 'very good+', probably 'excellent' most of the time.
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
